INFORMATION AND GENERAL RULES
Competition Open to Jackson County Only
Premiums Positively Will Not Be Paid On Items Not Listed in Rules

1. INDIVIDUAL EXHIBITS AND FEATURE EXHIBITS. ALL Entries will be accepted Friday and Saturday, Sept. 12 &13 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

·   Booths must be completed by 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
                                    ABSOLUTELY NO EXIBITS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON SUNDAY.
·   Exhibits may be removed by owners the following Sunday, Sept. 21 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 22 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Management is not responsible for items not picked up by noon Sept. 22.
2. Proper entry blanks and identification tags will be furnished at time of entry.
3. Judging:
·       Fresh Baked Goods will be Judged at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13th .
·       Flower Show entries will be Judged at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13th.
·       ALL OTHER JUDGING will be Monday, Sept. 15, 2008.

5. Names or other identifications as to ownership of any exhibit will not be permitted to be displayed when exhibits or booths are placed.
5. Premiums will not be paid on items not mentioned in the Premium List.
6. Winners of all premiums will be given a copy showing the class of premiums won and amount due. Checks for winners for all premiums will be made to winners as early as possible.
7. The decision of the judge will be final.
8. Entries made in special booths will not be permitted to compete in open class entries.
9. IF ANY CLUB OR INDIVIDUAL SHOULD BE AWARDED TWO PREMIUMS IN ONE LOT, ONLY THE FIRST PREMIUM WOULD BE PAID.
10.         NO VARIATION FROM PREMIUM LIST AS GIVEN IN THIS PUBLICATION WILL BE ALLOWED.
11.          Any misrepresentation in connection with the entry, by fact stated or omitted, will render such entry not eligible.
12.          Exhibitors must claim their property at the close of the Fair But No Exhibit Shall Be Removed or Disarranged Previous To The Time Stated Above, Nor Without Delivering The Proper Coupon To The Proper Official. This Rule Will Be Strictly Enforced in All Departments.
(a)                   No exhibit show or concession shall be removed from the fairgounds until close of the Fair, except by the proper authority from the Management.
(b)                   While every precaution will be taken for safe-guarding exhibits, it should be understood that exhibits are entered in competition for prizes, and that the owner assumes all responsibility for any accident, loss or damage that may
occur. Neither the Fair Association, its officers or its agents will be responsible for any accidents, loss or damage.
13.          Due care will be exercised in selecting the most competent judges available.
15.          If only one entry in Lot/Class, entry will be awarded at judges discretion.
15.          Stalls shall be assigned to bonafide exhibitors only. Parties subletting stalls without permission of the Superintendent of the Department, will thereby forfeit same and stall so forfeited will be subject to reassignment.
16.          Each Entry Must Be Made By The Bonafide Owner At The Time Of Entry. Any entry made otherwise for the purpose of perpetrating a fraud will not be allowed to compete, and no premium awarded to such entry will be paid. Any other misrepresentation touching any entry either by fact stated or omitted will render entry ineligible to compete, and no premium awarded to it will be paid.
17.         Absolutely only one entry per person, per Lot, unless stated otherwise in any department, section or class. An item comprised of two matching pieces (pair, set, suit, etc.) must be entered as one article.
18.         Management reserves the right to exclude or reject any article or entry it deems unworthy or inappropriate. Any entry offered is with the distinct understanding that the same is subject to the general and special rules as made known by the management.
19.         After judging, management reserves the right to make selections and arrange exhibits according to available space. Management will not be responsible for any loss or breakage whatsoever, but reasonable care will be used at all times in handling the exhibits.
Exhibits Erroneously Entered May Be Transferred At The Discretion Of The Superintendent Of The Department To Which They Belong. If Done Prior To The Awarding Of The Premiums To The Lot Or Lots Of Which They Are Eligible.
AWARDS (NOTE CAREFULLY)
In the event circumstances beyond our control so disrupt our planned schedules as to necessitate curtailment of activities and operation, the fair association reserves the right, and the exhibitor agrees premium and prize money herein catalogued on a basis of actual conditions existing from such causes during the period of the Fair.
•              Gates open 5:30 p.m. nightly
•               Individual Exhibit Building and Commercial Exhibit Building will open at 5:30 p.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
ADMISSION CHARGES: Age 12 & Older - $5.00
                                                                        Age 4 through 11 - $4.00
                                                                        Age 3 & Under - FREE
